The MWPHS will be 100 years old on October 2024, and to celebrate, we've partnered with them to create this unique calendar featuring some of the rarest photographs from early 20th-century life on the Northern Beaches of Sydney.  Showcasing pivotal landmarks that shaped the Northern Beaches, like the construction of the Spit Bridge and Roseville Bridge, Manly Town Hall, the official opening of the Manly Olympic Swimming Pool by Olympic Gold medalist Andrew "BOY" Charlton. Manly Baths was destroyed by the Sygna storm in 1974, (where Manly Skiff Club is now). It produced many Olympic champions (see blog) who brought home Gold, Silver and Bronze from the Paris Olympics in October 1924.

From the PRESIDENT'S REPORT  of The Historian Newsletter

"Those present viewed a number of historic images from 100 years ago that will be used in an historic Wall Calendar being produced by Lost Manly and the Northern Beaches, in association with our Society, to mark our Centenary.  We encourage all members to purchase one and/or give one as a gift since it will be a collector’s item".
